Segal Benz, The Segal Group’s communications practice, has received multiple awards for outstanding client work.
At the 2019 Eddy Awards, Segal Benz was recognized for work with two clients: Hitachi Vantara was honored for its efforts to improve understanding and use of Health Savings Accounts (HSAs). And Synopsys, Inc., earned first place in the special projects category for an innovative online quiz that enables employees to better understand the value of their 401(k) plans. The Synopsys campaign resulted in increased contribution levels and engagement with investing decisions.
The Eddy Awards, sponsored by Pensions & Investments, honor outstanding communications in a variety of categories, from 401(k) and investment education to plan transitions and preretirement preparation.
Segal Benz also received a 2019 Gold Hermes Award for Carpenters Southwest Administrative Corporation’shealth care transition communications program. The bilingual project explained extensive changes to medical and dental plans in both English and Spanish. In addition, Segal Benz received a 2019 Platinum Hermes Award for its work on L3 Technologies’ Enrollment Guide which educated employees about plan changes and provided key benefits reminders. Segal Benz also received the 2019 Hermes Creative Award for their work on behalf of the State of Rhode Island's open enrollment communications. This multimedia campaign encompassed video, website, print and face-to-face touch points to share plan options.
The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition for creative professionals involved in the concept, writing and design of traditional materials and programs, as well as emerging technologies.
The Segal Benz team also received an honorable mention from Ragan Communications for their work with Lenovo regarding a communications campaign focused on open enrollment. The rollout included a #lifehacks campaign that highlighted lesser-known benefits, including telemedicine, mental health, and college scholarships.
Ragan’s Employee Communications Awards recognizes organizations with the best internal communications strategies that keep employees informed and engaged.
