National Retirement Practice Consultant Named
Joseph A. LoCicero, President and CEO of The Segal Company, has announced that Steven M. Rabinowitz
has joined the Company as Senior Vice President in the National Retirement Practice.
Mr. Rabinowitz has gained national prominence in a distinguished 35-year career consulting on the
actuarial and employee benefit implications of underfunded benefit plans, corporate acquisitions,
mergers, divestitures, restructuring and bankruptcies. He has focused on helping multiemployer plans
and corporations manage severe financial adversity and restructure their benefits to achieve their
objectives.
Mr. LoCicero said, "I have known Steve professionally for many years and am confident that his expertise
will add to the national resources that Segal provides to underfunded plans and those with restructuring
needs. His deep experience will help clients resolve the financial problems they may be facing."
Most recently, Mr. Rabinowitz was a Senior Consultant in Towers Perrin's Metro New York retirement practice.
He has also served as a Partner at Kwasha Lipton/PwC, a Principal at Buck and a Managing Director at Mercer.
He is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries, a Fellow of the Conference of Consulting Actuaries, a Member of
the American Academy of Actuaries and an Enrolled Actuary. He holds a BS in Mathematics from Brooklyn
College and an MS in Actuarial Science from Northeastern University.
