Fall 2003 Survey Report, "Results of Segal's Higher Education HR and Benefits Opinion Survey: Three Key Issues Identified"
Abstract
According to a human resources (HR) and benefits opinion survey conducted at the 2003 regional conferences of the College and University Professional Association (CUPA) by The Segal Company, the following three topics were rated "extremely important" by a majority of respondents:
- Rising health care and prescription drug costs,
- Reductions in state funding and the resulting issues, and
- Defining HR's role as a strategic leader on campus.
This brief survey report includes a graph showing the percentages of respondents that rated 11 issues as "extremely important," "moderately important" and "not very important." It also includes a list of "write-in" topics that respondents indicated were also important. Graphs and tables summarize characteristics of higher education institutions represented in the survey.
