Kelly S. Jones
Senior Vice President & Higher Education Practice Leader
As a Senior Vice President, Mr. Jones leads Sibson Consulting's Higher Education Practice. He has over 28 years of experience in all phases of employee benefits, managed healthcare, pharmacy management, and HR Strategy development. View a brief video introduction.
Michael O’Malley, PhD
Dr. O’Malley is a Vice President and Human Capital Consultant with over 20 years of experience in compensation, performance management, organizational design and effectiveness, staffing and selection, and leadership development. He is responsible for a broad range of Human Capital initiatives centered around compensation design and organizational effectiveness.
Mr. Kochanski works with leaders to develop compensation and other people strategies for their organizations. He works with Universities and Health Science Institutions. Jim is the overall national leader for Sibsons Performance and Rewards practice.
Norman Jacobson, ASA, MAAA
Mr. Jacobson is a Health Actuary and Consultant specializing in FAS 106 and managed care. His responsibilities include rate setting and budgeting for self-insured clients, renewal negotiations and managed disability marketing. View a brief video introduction.
Mr. Calvert is a Senior Vice President and the firm’s Health Practice Leader. He has over 20 years of experience in the health care industry and works extensively with employers to help design wellness programs that enhance employee engagement and is leading the firm’s exploration of the Health Exchange marketplace.
Mr. Spangher is a Senior Consultant with over 17 years of experience in actuarial and benefits consulting. He is an expert in FAS 106 post-retirement welfare benefits accounting, FAS 112 post-employment welfare benefits accounting, non-discrimination testing of health and welfare plans, determining health plan insurance reserves, health plan migration, welfare benefits plan renewal and settlement negotiations, and active and retiree health and welfare benefits plan design.
Barbara Butterfield, PhD
Dr. Butterfield has over forty years of experience in higher education, including public, land grant, private, research and corporate education both in the United States and abroad. She has a proven track record in the areas of strategic planning, human resource program development, process improvement, change and reduction management.

Steven Cyboran, ASA, MAAA, FCA, CEBS
Mr. Cyboran is a Vice President and Consulting Actuary. With almost 20 years of consulting experience, he has been actively involved in a variety of benefit strategy projects focusing on health, productivity, disability and time-off. View a brief video introduction.
Christopher Goldsmith, SPHR, CCP, CEBS
Mr. Goldsmith is a Vice President, Client Relationship Manager, and head of Sibson’s Cleveland office with over 25 years of benefit and compensation experience. He has specialized expertise in health and welfare benefit plan consulting and total compensation consulting. He regularly consults on employee benefits, broad-based compensation arrangements and human resource function effectiveness.
Ms. Schuster is experienced in the design and implementation of employee communication strategies and programs and in assisting organizations with Web-based communications, including the deployment of employee portal strategies and human resources Web sites.

Ms. Kazemi works with public institutions and other governmental employers nationwide to evaluate and redesign compensation, benefits and human resources policies. She specializes in community colleges and unionized environments.
Glenn M. Alonzo
Mr. Alonzo has been a Benefits Consultant in Sibson's Hartford office since 1990 and became a Vice President in 1996. In 1999, he assumed the responsibility for directing and managing the Hartford Office's consulting staff. In 2003, Mr. Alonzo was named Senior Vice President.
Ms. Becom consults with clients to enhance the effectiveness of their human resources program and initiatives. Specifically, Ms. Becom has specialized experience in total rewards strategy, developing performance management and measurement programs, and creating career development processes, including technical skill development and competencies.
Mr. Conlon has nearly 20 years experience consulting on human resource issues with a wide variety of organizations and industries both domestically and internationally. His principal focus is enabling organizations to successfully deploy human capital to create competitive advantage and sustain success.
Ms. Donahue's comprehensive experience, including thirteen years of consulting work, eleven years as a Human Resource practitioner, and over thirty years as a clinician and coach allows for broad expertise and specialty focus on behavioral health, wellness, and behavior change strategies.
Mr. Hillard is responsible for development, design, and implementation of all aspects of employee and management communications surrounding compensation, benefits and healthcare, as well as strategic planning and execution.
As Marketing Coordinator, Ms. Hocevar assists Sibson's Higher Education vertical market with all conference-related marketing logistics, including speaking and sponsorship arrangements.
Mr. Insler's primary consulting expertise is in organization performance, executive compensation, and sales force effectiveness. His experience includes consulting and corporate roles in middle market as well as Fortune 100 companies.
Ms. Lyons helps higher education and other clients to improve and achieve their strategic objectives by evaluating employee compensation, performance management and organization design. She has special expertise in compensation program design and benchmarking, and has consulted for numerous public and private higher education institutions.
Carol Mercer, CCP, IPMA-CS
As a project manager, Ms. Mercer conducts kickoff meetings, facilitates meetings to build strategic compensation philosophies, conducts meetings where draft materials and final products are reviewed and approved, and presents final reports/presentations to client boards and councils.
Mr. Picarelli is a senior consultant with Segal Rogerscasey, our SEC-registered investment solutions affiliate. He specializes in providing defined contribution plan consulting services and vendor evaluation/selection services to a diverse client base.
Ms. Stiles' experience includes conducting compensation assessments for faculty, administration, and staff at colleges and universities with respect to both external competitiveness and internal equity, as well as plan redesign and implementation.
Ms. Wong uses a quantitative approach to developing targeted employee value propositions to provides innovative solutions for attracting and retaining key talent as well as aligning the organizational structure and employees to the business strategy.
