Ms. Hutcheson serves as a Senior Vice President in Sibson Consulting's Higher Education Practice, leading the compensation, performance management, and human resources consulting services for higher education clients. Ms. Hutcheson is responsible for:

  • Developing compensation and performance strategy through interactive processes with senior management, staff, faculty, and client project teams
  • Planning and facilitating strategy sessions, focus groups, advisory groups, goal-setting workshops, and training and program orientations
  • Developing, implementing, and communicating base pay and incentive compensation programs for faculty, administration, and staff, performance management programs (including goal-setting, competencies, multi-source evaluations), and career ladders (including technical skills and competencies)
  • Assessing HR strategy, structures, and operations and developing recommendations to enhance effectiveness of HR

Some of Ms. Hutcheson's past clients include the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Lehigh University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Duke University, George Washington University, Saint Joseph's University, and Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Professional Background

Ms. Hutcheson has over 20 years experience in compensation and performance management consulting. Prior to joining Sibson, Ms. Hutcheson was a Senior Compensation and Performance Management Consultant with two leading human resources consulting firms, and began her human resources career by administering the compensation and benefits program for an international financial services company.

Education/Professional Designations

Ms. Hutcheson received a BA in Business Administration from Boston University. Ms. Hutcheson is a member of the National Association of College and University Business Officers' (NACUBO) National Advisory Panel for its quarterly publication, HR Horizons. She is a member of CUPA-HR, WorldatWork and the Society for Human Resources Management. She has earned the designation of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from WorldatWork.
