The Opportunity

The Health Benefits Analyst is integral to supporting the delivery of a broad and diverse range of group health benefits consulting services to our clients. The health practice is a dynamic and growing business and offers significant visibility, client interaction, opportunity to perform as an influential member of client teams, and to learn and develop broad expertise in the emerging areas of the health benefits field through participation in special projects.

The Role

The Health Benefits Analyst works collaboratively with clients and other professionals in providing an integrated and thorough approach to client matters. Health Benefits Analysts perform these duties at a high level of proficiency, do advanced technical work, and interface directly with clients and providers. Additional responsibilities include: preparation of bid specifications; analyses of proposals; preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports; renewal analyses; benefit plan pricing; analyses of complex technical data with regard to benefit plans; preparing budget projections; claims cost analysis; and preparing claims curves for retiree health valuations.

Key Requirements

Requirements for this position include at least two years work experience related to health actuarial, benefits analysis or underwriting, a college degree, strong mathematical background, excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), and proficiency in use of computer software and programs.
