The Opportunity: Consultant is a Senior Consultant-track opportunity. The Consultant participates as an integral member of small consulting teams that are purposely designed to provide the broadest possible exposure to the design, development, and implementation of human capital consulting concepts and processes within client organizations. The Consultant demonstrates leadership qualities through effective management of projects and the Company’s resources and, through ability to positively influence clients’ thinking to explore new approaches and alternatives to solving challenging problems of an organizational change nature.
The Role: Working independently or in teams, the Consultant contributes to consulting projects to design and install human capital processes and systems to include (but not be limited to): organization and job design, career and competency modeling, succession planning, leadership development and, performance and rewards systems. Specifically, the Consultant develops project plans manages multiple consulting projects simultaneously, and performs as a key client contact by assuming day-to-day client management responsibility to include developing and maintaining rapport with clients and responding quickly and efficiently to client needs. The Consultant also provides guidance to more junior staff members to include delegating work, reviewing work quality and outcomes and, mentoring/coaching for development purposes.
Key Requirements: The ideal candidate will have: a minimum of five years of experience in a progressing HR-oriented consulting and/or business environment and have substantive involvement in designing, installing and/or maintaining talent management and/or rewards processes to include planning and program development activities; demonstrated problem-solving, analytical and quantitative ability to develop complex business solutions; demonstrated project/task management skills to include directing/guiding others; effective communication skills (oral and written) with ability to positively influence others; strong achievement orientation and ability to self-manage around setting priorities and meeting multiple deadlines and; effective interpersonal skills with ability to build rapport and interact with diverse audiences at both junior and senior levels of an organization.
