The Opportunity: We are seeking a Staff Assistant to join Sibson Consulting Division in the Raleigh (Cary, NC) office in a part-time position (i.e., 20 hours or less per week). The Staff Assistant will be a vital member of a dynamic and growing consulting practice and work closely with the office leadership and consultant staff, providing administrative support and coordination that is integral to the office’s ability to function as a consulting operation. The individual will have the opportunity to oversee key administrative and operational activities and, to contribute to improving office efficiency by providing quality assurance and recommending/introducing process changes/enhancements as deemed necessary.
The Role: The responsibilities of the Staff Assistant include, but are not limited to: managing and maintaining office databases; producing, proofreading and editing letters, reports and proposals; maintaining calendars, scheduling appointments and coordinating travel arrangements; conducting subject matter research and data gathering; maintaining office files and record keeping systems (e.g., client billing, time charges, etc.) and; responding to internal/external office inquiries and general problem-solving requests.
Key Requirements: The ideal candidate will have an undergraduate degree or equivalent in work experience, preferably within a service-oriented environment providing administrative and/or operational support. Effective communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with ability to interact effectively with a diverse audience; strong organization skill and detail orientated with ability to work in a self-managed environment; proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel; willingness to learn new software and technology as needed and to work overtime on occasion.
