New York (3/19/14) — Sibson Consulting Senior Vice President Jim Kochanski has been named a member of the inaugural advisory board for the academic program in human resources (HR) management at North Carolina State University’s Poole College of Management. The role of the board is to provide advice and counsel to the college’s HR faculty on matters related to the college’s curriculum in HR and the program’s engagement with professionals in business and industry. Board members also will be informed of research under way by the faculty, as well as opportunities to collaborate with faculty on research projects.
“Our board members bring invaluable insight and perspective that will help assure our students receive the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to launch their careers,” commented Dr. Ira Weiss, dean of the Poole College of Management.
Mr. Kochanski, who leads Sibson’s Performance and Rewards Practice, has more than 20 years of consulting and HR experience. He received a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development from American University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Maryland.
