Proposed MHPAEA Rules and the Challenges They Would Create

The Departments of Labor, HHS and Treasury recently released an extensive package of guidance, including proposed rules for mental health parity and substance use disorder parity under the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA). These rules propose significant changes to the 2013 MHPAEA final regulations as well as new, additional regulatory requirements.
